Now I want to use Microsoft Publisher (available in Office Small Business and over only), but if it is what you need to do is:
1. The insert, click on a picture or clip art to add a background (maybe a picture of his friend and all?)
2. Write what you want to tell your friend (eg, Happy Birthday!)
3. Struggle with the font, color, something nice
Tip: add "tab there is a" WordArt "button to create some truly bizarre, funny words to spend time with them to create a birthday card, unbelievable!
